We purchased the split king (2-separate) medium hybrid mattresses and split king smart bases. We are still experimenting with the adjustable settings to find the best position for each of us. Changing the base settings is easy enough but more awkward than anticipated to change positions in the middle of the night. The anti-snore base setting does work and automatically raises the head area of the mattress when it detects snoring. However, when I wake up, I find that I have slid down on the mattress during the night so my head is in a lower position, so when that happens not sure it helps reduce snoring. I do like seeing my "sleep report" in the morning to review how I supposedly slept. Not yet sure if the cost/benefit is worth it.

I recently had a total knee replacement which I had delayed for 10 years, the result was an highly irregular gate. Due to the overcompensation for the knee my body over the years became painful to the point that sleeping caused hip, shoulder, and back pain. I could not walk in the mornings and my posture was poor to say the least.
After struggling with this constant pain I decided to switch to a new bed, that was adjustable and would cradle my body. The Tempur Ergo smart base was the ticket with a Tempurpedic Luxe mattress. It adjusts to completely relieve all my pain and I genuinely wake up refreshed and able to stand up straight and walk normal again. Having the Tempur Ergo Smart base has been a life changer.

We bought two twinXL's that sync together with our new king mattress (other brand). The mattress is unbelievably comfortable, but my wife and I both agree the biggest improvement to our new sleep system was these bases. We love the adjustment, we have it setup for watching TV for an hour before bed, and then press a button and go to your custom sleep position 9feet and head slightly raised). We all spend a quarter of our lives in bed, why not spend a little extra and make it worth your while! It actually adjusts if you snore, gives you a daily sleep score, cell phone can be the remote and the AI is helping us learn about how important a consistent sleep schedule is. I used to sleep with four pillows, now I sleep with one. Love the bases..

I received this bed on December 15, 2025. It is the first time I have a had an adjustable base. It is well worth having all of the features. Having my legs elevated while I sleep seems to decrease my sciatic nerve pain and increase mobility in the morning. What probably helps the most is the lumbar support feature. That was a big surprise to me. It was like a Christmas present. I wish the lumbar support itself had a vibrating feature. The disappointment was that the base did not work when it was delivered. After a couple days, I figured out the remote had a dead battery, and it was not paired with the base as it should have been.

Very first night, I slept 3 full hours with out moving, no need to turn over because of sore hips. Only had to get up once for bathroom issues. Second night I slept 5 hours without moving. No more sore hips or shoulders. Best sleep I've had in years.

I ordered this while recovering from spinal fusion and shoulder surgery. Both of those things make it very hard to get in or out of bed or even just be comfortable. Having this bed definitely changed that and really helped my recovery.

Well I have been a loyal customer of Tempur-pedic's for about 30 years. I bought a winter home in AZ so I now have five Tempur-pedic matresses and all my children and guests who come to stay with me either in Colorado or Arizona say my beds are more comfortable than any 5-star hotel. So the main reason I got the Smart Base was to help me in making my bed after stripping it weekly in my senior years easier! I now don't have to lift the mattress to do my hospital corners or to put on a fitted sheet. I just raise the top and bottom of the Smart Base and voila, I can make my bed with ease :) I love the lumbar support on my bed and the massages; my dogs freak out at first about the massages but they are now used to it and I think enjoy even more than I do. Thank you Tempur-pedic for always providing quality mattresses, pillows and now a Smart Base!!!!

To say this base is a game changer is an understatement. This is truly smart and intuitive. So in addition to raising and lowering the head, foot, and lumbar areas how ever you like, this base senses you snoring and automatically adjusts without waking you. It has massage settings, night lights, Wifi connectivity, and USB ports to charge your phone or other devices. You even adjust the height of the base to put things under the bed or make it easier to get in and out of bed. No buyers remorse for us.

After about 90 days of use and replacing a 12-year-old Leggett and Platt adjustable base.
The good:
Head and foot lifts work well and enjoy using them.
Low level massage is fine.
The bad:
I chose not to use the sleep tracker and it constantly blinks a bright light that is annoying in the dark. I did figure out how to disconnect this as there are no instructions in the manual to disconnect and stop the bright blinking lights.
I also do not use the lumbar lift, I understand why there is extra material at this location but it tends to bunch up and is uncomfortable when the head is inclined.
The power light is very bright in the dark but tolerable as a night light.
The underbed lighting is a great idea except it is too bright. Consider linking these to a dimmer so it is user adjustable.
High level massage is too loud. I never use it.
Sometimes all these features are unneeded and should be available as an option such as the sleep tracker or lumbar lift, not a required purchase.

Allows us to have 2 different firmness mattresses. The auto snore turns on even when you're awake and not snoring so that got turned off. The snore position is not high enough to stop snoring but you can save a higher angle under the star button.

If you're buying this for the massage festure, don't bother. It's just vibration. But if you like raising your leg after a tiring day, this is good. And raising the head part if you have sleep apnea, it raises your head part good enough too.
But I must agree with watch nectar says in their ad, this is overpriced.

This base is squeaky and parts are falling off. Every time I move, the noise wakes me up all through the night. It is an absolute nightmare.
Worse, it is supposed to be under warranty. Well, Tempurpedic does not warranty the bed from falling apart and making noise!

We love all the positions that the Tempur-Ergo Smart base offers. We bought the split king, basically is 2 Twin XL. Each of us gets our own settings. The Sleeptracker app is amazing. It can optionally detect a snore and automatically raise the head. It tracks sleep quality, heart rate, breath rate. Gives daily, weekly and monthly summaries. We love this! We love our bed(s), ProAdjust Hybrid.

I've been a tempurpedic mattress owner for years, but the SmartBase takes sleeping to a whole new level! I had no idea I snored as much as I did but with the snore sensing base, my sleep is so much better. I sleep deeper and don't wake up nearly as much. The massage is very nice too!
